SHALA ETIQUETTE

  • Bring an open mind and a humble heart.

  • Bring your own yoga mat and two towels.

  • Practise on an empty stomach — avoid meals 3–4 hours before practice.

  • Leave shoes and personal belongings at the entrance.

  • Please leave water bottles and mobile phones out of the room. The practice is best done without distractions.

  • Maintain silence as you enter the shala and throughout your practice. This helps cultivate awareness and respect for others in the room.

  • Wear clean, modest, and comfortable clothing suitable for practice.

  • Toilets are available on the premises.

  • Full Moon and New Moon are rest days. No Mysore or Led classes will be held on these days, in accordance with tradition.

  • Please honour your body’s needs. Rest if you are injured, unwell, or menstruating (ladies’ holiday).
